Planes are getting tighter and tighter. Have you noticed that windows on planes no longer line up with the seats. I have been on many planes where I have a half a window or no window at all. Why? Because the airlines keep adding additional rows of seats and now you have 4 rows of seats with only 2 windows to share. We are getting packed into seats for hours and it is becoming terribly uncomfortable to work, eat and sleep. It gets even worse when the seat in front of you is reclined with a passenger almost on your lap. Is there anything we can do?
Yes! Its called the KNEE DEFENDER. But beware, although this $21.95 gadget attaches to your tray table and prevents the person in front of you from reclining it can result in an actual fight like the one on United Airlines last week.
The fight started when the male passenger, seated in a middle seat of row 12, used the Knee Defender to stop the woman in front of him from reclining while he was on his laptop. The women then poured her cup of water on the male passenger. Both were thrown off the plane after it made an emergency landing.
Both passengers were also sitting in United's Economy Plus section, the part of the plane that has four more inches of legroom than the rest of coach. I guess every inch really doesn't make a difference.
